On November 9, 2015, the Seoul International Women's Association (SIWA) hosted its annual charity event in collaboration with the diplomatic community and various embassies in Korea. The event was held at the prestigious LOTTE Hotel in Seoul and featured a large bazaar that operated from morning until afternoon. The SIWA charity bazaar is one of the largest charity events in Seoul and is driven by the motto, "Share culture, share love, share life."
Established in 1962, the SIWA charity bazaar celebrated its 53rd occurrence this year. Each year, the event is organized in partnership with organizations dedicated to supporting underprivileged individuals in Korean society. To date, the bazaar has raised approximately 20 billion won, which has been donated to orphanages, visually impaired individuals, the homeless, the elderly, and women and children in need.
This year's event saw the participation of approximately 40 representatives from around the world, including embassies, women's organizations, companies, charities, and volunteers. The various booths at the bazaar sold unique products and foods from different countries, including wine, handicrafts, cheeses, chocolates, and more.
KOISRA, a company specializing in Korean market entry and expansion, voluntarily assisted in the operational and administrative aspects of the Israeli booth, in collaboration with the Israeli Embassy in Seoul. As part of their community contribution, KOISRA financed and provided various products that were sold to visitors, with all funds collected donated to charity.
The SIWA charity bazaar was a huge success, thanks to the contributions of all participants and volunteers. The event not only provided visitors with the opportunity to purchase unique products from various countries but also helped raise funds for a worthy cause. It is heartening to see individuals and organizations coming together to make a positive impact on society.
