To our office in Seoul, South Korea, we are looking for a Junior Business Development Analyst. At this position you will mainly focus on our clients’ needs and activities in the Korean market. You will act as liaison between the clients, our team and the Korean market. Most of our clients are foreign based companies, therefore you communication skills in English are important.

The position is multidisciplinary and enables work and learning of diverse areas of practice and sectors such as: market research, marketing, sales, localization, business development, customer management, e-commerce, logistics and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts in-depth research and market analysis for our clients, such as market opportunities, challenges, political environment, regulations, sales channels, technologies trends, industries review, stakeholders analysis, and competitive landscape
  • Search and identify local Korean companies (importers, distributors, manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, system integrators etc.) according to our client’s requirements and needs
  • Reach and contact with relevant decision makers in different sectors
  • Setup and manage meetings between our clients and Korean entities and provide in-meeting interpretation (Korean - English) support
  • Follow up, supports and work closely with existing clients and keep them updated regarding the work progress and the execution status of the services
  • Engage with and qualify new potential clients and negotiate contract terms
  • Participation and visit to trade shows, conferences and exhibitions in South Korea

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills (with foreign and Korean companies)
  • Good self-learning abilities of industries, technologies, market trends, regulations and government policies
  • No Fear of expressing doubt, asking questions, and challenging relevant parties and authorities in order to point out a problem or find a solution
  • Understanding about B2B business models, retail, sales strategies, e-commerce, distributions and logistics
  • Proficiency in computer and business software’s operation (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Korean – Native/Bilingual
  • English – Professional Working Proficiency (verbally and written)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business or Legal or Accounting or Economics or Engineering or Science or Analytics or Finance or Marketing
  • At least 1 year of experience in Business Development or Business Consulting or Market Analysis or Finance or Marketing or Sales
  • Experience in e-commerce marketing or sales
  • Experience in social media (SNS) account management and/or marketing
  • Experience working with foreign companies or foreign government agencies
