KOISRA is pleased to announce the renewal of its "Main Biz" certification for Business Management and Innovation by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS). The certification has been extended for the period from August 2023 to August 2027.
The renewal of the Main Biz certification reflects KOISRA's continued commitment to maintaining financial stability, a zero-debt status, and a dedicated workforce. The company has consistently met the rigorous standards required by the MSS, including upholding a clean legal record and abstaining from high-risk industries such as gambling, tobacco, and alcohol. Additionally, KOISRA has integrated technological advancements to improve operational efficiency.
The Main Biz certification recognizes small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that demonstrate innovative management practices and potential for growth. It is awarded to companies that excel in areas such as marketing, human resources, organizational structure, and business model innovation. Currently, only about 23,000 of the 7.72 million SMEs in Korea have received this certification, highlighting its selectivity. These certified companies contribute significantly to the Korean economy, representing 15.8 percent of GDP, approximately 340.7 trillion won ($251.4 billion), and employing 860,000 people.
KOISRA's renewed certification provides continued access to various benefits, including preferential consideration for government contracts, favorable terms for bank financing, and support in hiring specialized personnel. Additionally, it affirms the company’s ability to participate in a range of government support programs.
This certification underscores KOISRA's standing with Korean governmental bodies and supports the company's efforts to assist Korean startups and SMEs in expanding their presence in global markets.
