KOISRA had the honor to be invited and participate in the first edition of Portugal Fashion & Food event, which took place on February 11, 2025, at the Residence of H.E. the Ambassador of Portugal in Seoul.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Portugal, AICEP - Trade & Invest, APICCAPS, and PortugalFoods Association, bringing together key industry leaders, government representatives, and businesses to highlight Portugal’s excellence in fashion and food.
A Celebration of Portuguese Excellence
The evening commenced with a welcome drink and registration, followed by opening remarks from H.E. Madam Ambassador Susana Vaz Patto and representatives from AICEP - Trade & Investment.
Attendees then gained insights into Portugal’s thriving industries:
- Portuguese Footwear Industry: Mr. Paulo Martins (Vice-President) and Mr. João Maia from APICCAPS showcased Portugal’s global success in footwear, with exports reaching over 170 countries.
- Agrifood Sector: Mr. André Jacques from PortugalFoods introduced Portugal’s stronghold in the agrifood sector, emphasizing its global ranking as the 3rd largest olive oil exporter and the 5th largest wine exporter.
A Taste of Portugal
The highlight of the evening was the Portuguese Food & Wine Tasting, where guests had the chance to savor premium Portuguese cuisine, including high-quality olive oil, wines, and other delicacies.
The event concluded with final remarks, reaffirming the strong economic and cultural ties between Portugal and Korea.
