The South Korean company - SK Telecom (SKT) has won China’s approval to acquire a 21 percent stake in Hynix Semiconductor, the last hurdle to complete the deal by South Korea’s biggest mobile-phone carrier.

“The Chinese government’s approval had been sought for the merger with Hynix which has units in China in order to complete the transaction. This process recently ended with success,” a high-ranking official of SK Group said Friday.
